True Grace was founded in 2003 by Philippa and Roger Biles, and has called rural Wiltshire home ever since. Surrounded by the kind of countryside that always seems to be showing you something, rolling fields, open sky, hedgerows, it is a place that shapes the way we work.

Philippa trained under Mandy Aftel in Berkeley, California, one of the most respected figures working in natural perfumery today. Philippa's continued work with flower essences taught her that plants carry more than scent alone. The Pure Oils range grew directly from that work: three blends, all natural, each one inspired by a familiar English landscape and a familiar need.

Every candle is made in small batches by our team of skilled artisans, with blending, pouring and finishing all happening under one roof. It is the kind of making that takes time and care, and that is exactly the point.

Our Wiltshire factory has held Carbon Neutral status from the Carbon Trust since 2015, powered by a combination of solar power and renewable biomass. It is something we are proud of and something we want to maintain.

This candle is formulated from 100% natural essential oils. Every raw material is blended by hand here in Wiltshire. We make things to last, because we think that is the most straightforward thing we can do.

Light it when you need to come back to yourself. Before a long afternoon. Before a difficult task. Give it a moment.

Work the wick to around 5mm before each burn. For the first light, allow the wax to melt evenly across the top, this sets the candle up for everything that follows. Burn for no more than four hours at a time, and always place it on a heat-resistant surface away from draughts.

The fragrance will build as the wax warms. Let it.
