True Grace was founded in 2003 by Philippa and Roger Biles, and has been making home fragrance in rural Wiltshire ever since. What began as a market stall on Portobello Road has grown into a purpose-built studio and factory - still independent, still family-run, still finishing everything by hand under one roof.

Philippa trained under Mandy Aftel in Berkeley, California, one of the most respected figures working in natural perfumery today. Philippa's continued work with flower essences taught her that plants carry more than scent alone. The Pure Oils range grew directly from that work: three blends, all natural, each one inspired by a familiar English landscape and a familiar need.

Our reed diffusers and refills are blended in-house and contain 20% fragrance, equivalent to the concentration of a fine perfume.

Our Wiltshire factory has held Carbon Neutral status from the Carbon Trust since 2015, powered by a combination of solar power and renewable biomass. It is something we are proud of and something we want to maintain.

This refill bottle is made from 100% recycled materials and is fully recyclable. It will be shipped in a recyclable box with natural, compostable cornstarch packing. Designed to work with your existing True Grace diffuser vessel, top it up, swap the reeds, and you are ready to go again.

Pour the oil in the diffuser and add the fresh reeds to the bottle. Give it a few hours before you judge it, the fragrance builds gradually as the reeds draw up the oil.

Position the diffuser somewhere the air moves naturally: a hallway, a landing, a bathroom, a bedside table. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or near a radiator, as heat accelerates evaporation and shortens its life. A shelf at head height or above tends to throw the fragrance further into the room.

For a lighter scent, use fewer reeds and turn them less often. For something stronger, flip all the reeds every couple of days. When the fragrance starts to fade, it usually means the oil is running low rather than the reeds being spent - try a refill before you replace everything.
