After Dark ~ Henge Classic Candle

Strange rituals from our corner of England.

The oldest marks in Wiltshire are older than writing: a horse cut into the chalk downs, stones raised in a circle. Look closely at the beams of an old barn and you might find smaller ones, circles and crosses scratched into the oak by hand. Witchmarks, cut around doors, windows, fireplaces, and thought to keep a home safe. We've brought them back under an October crescent moon, hanging low over the downs.

Bright citrus arrives first, lifting the air with notes of bergamot and grapefruit. Leather and sandalwood follow, adding warmth and depth. Incense, oakmoss and cedar settle slowly into the space, creating a rich, grounding atmosphere.

Hand-poured in small batches using a blend of natural and renewable waxes, it provides a clean, even burn and a consistent scent for up to 40 hours.

Presented in deep olive green glass, screen-printed in gold with a crescent moon among scattered witchmarks. The marks are hand-cut and imperfect, like a rubbing taken from old carved stone, and they glow as the candle burns.
